Overview: Up for sale is an excellent oil on board painting by listed German artist, Emil Weber (1872-1945). The painting is fantastic, depicting a man on a horse talking to a beautiful woman on a country road. Painting is signed at lower left. Weber is well-listed with numerous auction records. Based on the age of the board and the wear, I would date this to the 1920's-1930's. It comes framed in a very handsome carved wooden period frame. Please see my other listings, as I have two other paintings by the same artist. Condition: The painting is in excellent condition. No noticeable wear popular. Frame shows some weathering and a moderate chip on the top left edge. Measurements: Stretched canvas measures 8.25 inches wide x 5 inches high. Frame measures 10.125 inches wide by 7.25 inches high.
