Looking for some beautiful spring plates? These would make even the most austere salad look wonderful.
We've long been fans of prints by Liberty of London, the famous Regent Street department store. And we're not alone—Oscar Wilde famously said, “Liberty is the chosen resort of the artistic shopper.”
In the last century, Tiffany commissioned Johnson Brothers, the popular English ceramic manufacturer, to produce some fine table items for the American market that featured prints from Liberty. These ironstone plates, sold at Tiffany's in the US, were among them.
The plates here are square salad plates in a peachy brown hue. Each plate has a diameter of 7 ½ inches. They are sold as a set of four.
The plates are in fantastic vintage condition, with no chips, cracks, or repairs.
Vintage and antique table items make unique (and sustainable) gifts. If you envision one or more pieces as a gift, we are happy to send directly to your lucky recipient with a handwritten card free of charge—just let us know the message you would like. If you want to glam it up a bit, we also offer gift wrapping services for an additional $5.
Jojo's Dinner Party specializes in vintage and antique tableware, so all items should be considered pre-owned and are sold as-is. Please note that the pictures are part of the description, and that returns are not accepted. Though occasional scratches are to be expected, we do not sell items with chips or cracks unless they are clearly noted in the description. We believe in being transparent and honest about condition; please contact us if you would like more photos before you purchase, and we will happily accommodate. We also take care to pack items securely, using clean (recycled when possible) packing materials so they will reach you safely. All items have been stored in a smoke-free environment.
