Kurouchi (Black Forging Finish)is a type of finish where the black oxide surface formed by the quenching is partially left on the blade. It is a special traditional coating that produces a unique luster and improved corrosion-resistance.
It is said as practical finish, but I recommend it from a rustic appearance of this finish and beauty of the contrast of the blade.
The bunka is designed as multiple knife from meat to veritable.
It is require less maintenance than typical carbon steel knives, please remember that the White Steel No.2 blade core and the soft iron portion of the bevel can still discolor or rust easily.
(On the other hand, there is the advantage that it is easy to sharpening it and cut well )
