For consideration is this gorgeous brown English transferware ginger / cookie jar. This piece has a pretty Oriental / Chinoiserie floral motif' with a stylized lattice trim. The brown transfer has been enhanced with hand painted colors; plum, burgundy, green. Great for use or would be gorgeous filled with flowers as vase and the lid propped to the side! This is a very hard to find piece. Fully marked on bottom as shown. These would be pretty on a mantle or massed together in a grouping with various sized ginger jars. Hard to find!
Measures 7 1/2” tall x 6” at widest
Condition: No chips or cracks with exception to a small sliver underneath the inside of the lid that doesn't show unless you take it off and turn it over. Other than that, just some age related crazing. popular
