This is a bamboo finely woven teapot with four teacups, no chips or cracks, excellent condition. They are porcelain lined. The teapot is 9.5 inches long (spout to handle) and 6.5 inches tall. The cups are popular 3 inch diameter (not including handles). There are no frays in the bamboo. Overall, a beautiful set.
Bamboo weaving is an incredible art form that takes years of dedication and patience to master. These hand-woven vases are beautiful and amazing works of art. They are created by threading fine pieces of bamboo together over porcelain vases. Intricate woven patterns and designs are sometimes added to the bamboo. Even if the porcelain below the bamboo were to crack, the bamboo structure is rigid enough that the vase would still hold its shape.
