This classic custom handmade knife will surely impress for generations of use. Comprised of Roosevelt Elk, which are extremely rare and can only be found west of the Cascade Mountains. This skinner knife is made with exceptional quality 440c Stainless Steel. The 440c steel boasts a high quality hardness when heat treated. Making this knife ideal for extreme hot and cold temperatures without cracking, keeping the knife resistance to corrosion, and having the ability to hold a very sharp edge for a long time. This knife is battle tested and built to withstand anything thrown its way with ease, making it the perfect tool for any outdoorsman. The knife is full tang in design, with Roosevelt Elk antler sheds used as scales for the handles. The elk sheds are from the Pacific Northwest, specifically found on the infamous volcano, Mount St. Helens. These elk antlers are known for their rich chocolate brown color. The raw material of antlers, paired with the high quality steel brings a classic, yet very functional tool to tackle all your outdoor adventures. All knives are unique and custom made to order and handles will vary slightly. Comes with a custom fit leather sheath. Please specify if you would popular like the sheath to be left handed.

Roosevelt Elk Facts:
• Mature elk can weight anywhere from 600 to 1000 pounds and can reach a height of 5 feet at the shoulders.
• In the early 1900's the Roosevelt Elk population plummeted to approximately a dozen animals.
• They were named after Theodore Roosevelt, an avid hunter and an active contributor to wildlife conservation who created the Olympic Nation Park in the Rainforest of Western Washington.
• This species of Elk are Isolated to the western Cascade Mountains, encompassing a narrow strip of Washington, Oregon, northern California and a part of Lower British Colombia.
