Zimbabwe is rich in a variety of stones including serpentine, butter jade, verdite, leopard rock, cobalt springstone etc.

This expressive form of art has grown in leaps and bounds since 1980.

Initially introduced around 1956 by Frank McEwen who was then the Director of The National Gallery of Rhodesia a lot of progress has been made in Zimbabwe.


Despite the challenges faced in the country this beautiful art has seen the artistically talented young men perfect the art and also able to support their families by playing with stone and producing masterpieces.

We have started working with this young man in particular called Tsumbe who is dedicated and has a passion for African stone and excellence. He has been affected by the covid pandemic because of limited movement of potential customers so we hope to expose his talent on an online platform.
