Product code: Linocut, popular A walk in the Country, handprinted on paper, signed and numbered in a limited edition, Mariann Johansen-Ellis, blue and white

taking in the fresh air, seeing popular all the beauty around you, hearing the lowing of the cows, the song of the birds, the frogs splashing into the pond as you approach, all of that makes for a beautiful thing, it just makes me so happy!
You are welcome to ask me to custom print a color!

A large blue and white linocut looks deceptively simple, but can actually be right there with the most difficult, to make an image really work when you only have 2 "colors" means you have to look at things in a different way. I hand carve the linocut plate, and it is great fun to add all the details to really get the country feel, I did think cows and sheep were a given!
I use a fantastic printmaking paper, crisp white with a velvety surface, heavy weight, and the best waterbased ink.
All my linocuts are handprinted by me, the artist,
and I sign, title and number each print.
"A walk in the country" is printed in a short edition of 60 prints,
you might not receive the number seen in the photograph.

The linocut itself measures 16" x 23", (40cm x 58cm )
and the beautiful piece of clear and crisp white Zerkall
printmaking paper measures 27" x 18", (68cm x 46cm)

Linocuts are wonderful graphic pieces of printmaking, that can make for a real focal point in your room, you are so welcome to ask me about framing advice etc.

I'll mail your linocut to you protected by tissuepaper and cellophane, it comes with a flier explaining what a linocut is.
If you have any questions just get in touch..... that's what I am here for!

Thanks for looking and welcome back.
