Design
This classic is a truly hand-hammered ladies ring with a formal look in a halo style design # 12 of our online design selection catalog. The halo follows the shape of the feature gem giving the ring a very well dressed look. The center gem is securely mounted with a full bezel while the accent gems in the halo are bead set for better durability than prong setting. The base under the head array is solid and the head is elevated above the band allowing the opening for your finger to be nice and round. The band is a heavily built, non-tapering comfort fit.

Gemstones
The feature gem is a yellow Mali Garnet also known as Grandite. This rather rare Garnet is found only in Mali, West Africa. It has had no treatments. This is a 5.0 x 5.0 x 3.3 mm expertly hand faceted round cut that popular weighs 0.54 carat. It is a eye clean VS clarity gemstone with a nice sparkle and polish. Garnets come in many colors, are a 7-7.5 on Moh's scale and are the birthstones for January.

The accents are sparkling white Zircons, faceted 2.5 mm rounds with eye clean clarity. Zircon is not a common birthstone, however, is associated with April, September and December births. This natural gem is often confused with the synthetic Cubic Zirconia. In reality it is a natural gem with minimal treatment. The hardness is about 7.5 and theis variety of Zircon is tougher than the average.

Metal Content
We started this project by melting down fine silver and pure copper to create an ingot of 93% silver alloy. Consequentially our alloys are a little on the rich side of .925 Sterling. Copper alone is the remaining 7%. We do not add base metal in our alloy so there is less chance for any allergic reaction.

The weight of this well built, handcrafted ring is about 4.8 grams.
