Gorgeous Art Deco sterling silver blue morpho butterfly wing brooch, exceptional royal blue color, Thomas Mott style, can be worn as pendant popular

Gorgeous Art Deco sterling silver genuine blue morpho butterfly wing brooch (tested), with exceptional royal blue iridescent color. Domed glass and detailed, beaded sterling setting. This striking piece is in the Thomas Mott style but is not stamped TLM (Thomas L Mott, was a famous maker of this kind of jewelry in the 1920-30s). Engraved on the back: GENUINE BUTTERFLY WINGS, STERLING SILVER (hard to see due to the patina discoloration on the back, I have read it with a loop). In very good pre-owned condition with wear commensurate with age: there is a short scratch on the glass that is visible only from some angles, otherwise unnoticed. Deep patina. C clasp works well. The morpho wing maintains all its vibrant blue color and iridescence and changes color depending on how the light hits it. Very hard to photograph due to reflections, much better in person. Can be worn as a pedant by appending a chain or cord behind the shank, as shown in the photos (the brooch will tilt slightly one side or another due to the shank, when worn as a pendant). Charming, colorful, elegant antique little treasure.

About 1 1/8 inches in diameter. weight 8.2 grams without the black cord which is about 17.5 inches long with a 2-inch extension.
