This piece is an eclectic small popular artwork using Handmade Nepalese gold printed flower paper, a beautiful shiny silver paper and a french blue striped paper affixed in a collage using a quilt pattern. I then painted a blue-green Dragon, holding a white pearl, a symbol of power and wisdom in the center of the artwork.
A blue dragon in Tibetan Buddhism is a symbol of protection, Yang energy, change and transformation, of the spirit of water, storm gods, dragons usually hold a white pearl which creates heavenly lightening. The pearl in this piece is painted in crystal glitter.
It is difficult to capture the silver and gold in the above photographs, the light changes the contrast, so in some images it looks slightly more blue, in others slightly more gold. It is somewhere actually in between!
Artwork measures 6 in x 6 in, mounted on illustration board. Signed on the back with my Chinese stamp in red.
This piece is un-matted, sent to you in a protected cello sleeve, with a carboard backing.
Thank you for looking!
