A Hardin style point dating to the Early Archaic, 9000 – 6000 BP.
The point is part of a collection I purchased over 25 years ago from the nephew of a Professor Johnson at one of the universities in Indiana. The collection numbered over 3000 relics which had been in storage for years as part of his estate. The nephew had inherited the collection from an aunt and had never actually met the professor. The history which I got was passed down from her. During the 1940 – 50's period he would travel the Midwest during the summer months and find the relics, mainly from fields. She said most of the relics were from Indiana, Missouri, Ohio and Illinois.
It is 1 3/4” in size. It comes in a Riker mount.
All of the artifacts are guaranteed to be original as stated. A hand signed and dated “Certificate of Authenticity” will be issued by Collectors Frame with a photograph and description of the items purchased.
