Product code: Impressionist c1930 Danish Seascape Oil Painting popular signed Jorg Moller
Up for sale is this fantastic early 20th century oil painting on canvas. The painting depicts a boat on what looks to be a lake or river, surrounded gloomy mountains. It is signed at lower left, "Jorg G. Moller." Based on the style and the name of the artist, I believe the painting is from Denmark. And based on the age of the canvas and wear to the painting, I would estimate the painting was created between 1910 and 1940. I haven't found any information on the artist, who seems to be a talented amateur. It's a really nice rustic piece that would look great in any Northern European art collection or in a collection of antique early-20th century seascapes. Painting is unframed, but does have a wire for hanging attached to the stretcher bars. The painting is in fair to good condition. There are a number of instances of paint loss, wear and some minor fraying to the canvas. Unframed. Please see the photos.
