These books are well-written with excellent illustrations that really bring American history to life. They will definitely deepen children's love and understanding of this country! This set is an excellent edition to a classroom, elementary school library, home, home school, etc! These books are nearly 60 years old and have educated many children over that time. The covers are in decent condition, but there are multiple pages throughout the set with doodling, mustaches drawn on a few characters, etc, please see photos. The pages including text are in good shape and any previous use will not distract from the educational material. One of the volumes has loose binding and some of the pages are separating. I did not attempt to glue them back into place but this can be done.
