Tree Baby: An Uncanny Forest Ent Painting popular

popular This lively tree character is part of my Uncanny Forest series. Each piece was created using a free-form application of ink on the background to create unique tree silhouettes, which I then filled in with detailed branches and quirky humanoid faces. These entish beings are painted in a 5" circle on tinted mat board, which provides the mid-tone value. On top of that is a mix of watercolor, ink, and white pencil.

The portrait painting comes matted and includes a sturdy back board, ready to frame. All materials are archival. The artwork is fitted in a plastic sleeve and then packaged with care. The mat edge measures at 8" x 8".
