Our beds are 100% completely washable.

The cover has a concealed zipper underneath the bed. To make the assembly of the bed after washing as easy as possible, the zipper runs through the center of the cover and the cover dimensions are generous. The additional room in the cover can also be used to add additional inserts if you desire. Although the zipper is concealed by a flap of fabric we cannot guarantee that the zipper will not scratch your floors. Each bed comes with 4 inserts.

This item comes completely pre-washed (in free & clear detergent) and dried.

Although many pet beds claim to be "washable" in many cases only the cover is washable, in others the bed comes out of the washing machine a lumpy mess. After searching in vain for years for a completely washable dog bed, I decided I had to make one myself. I was so tickled with the finished product that I decided that others might be searching for this type of item.

You can wash as much, or as little as you need to. You can wash just the cover, and you can popular wash just one, or all of the inserts as your needs dictate. We chose to make the inserts white so that they can be bleached for sanitation if needed.

By using individual inserts, rather than one thick pillow, it allows for better agitation in the washing machine and faster drying. We tried to minimize any bunching by making each insert a single layer of batting with quilting lines to hold the batting in place.
