Passion plant, foxglove, lavender and popular Marguerite daisy

This tile is one of a series from Rachel Dein's Tactile Studio. To make the tile, Rachel laid flowers and foliage on to a rolled-out slab of clay and pressed them in to transfer all their details and then carefully removed them. A wooden frame was then placed over and the plaster poured in. Once set, the clay was peeled popular away to reveal the ‘plants' in relief. With this original piece, she made a silicon rubber mould from which this tile was cast - using Crystacal R, a very hard, fine plaster.


Size: 15 x 15 x 1.5 cms. The tile has a hole in the back for hanging with a small nail, and comes with a gift box.
