Product code: VTG Signed Wayne Hewell Georgia Folk Art Studio Art Pottery popular Swirled Clay Pitcher
Offered for purchase is a fantastic piece of Southern Folk Art Pottery by Wayne Hewell. It is a pitcher made from a mixture of white and brown clays - making a fantastic swirled pattern. It is signed by Hewell on the base (photo 10). It is not dated. Approx. Dimensions: 8 inches popular tall; 4.5 inches in length (measuring between spout and handle); 6 inches wide (at widest point) Weight: 2.16 pounds Condition: Very good, there are no chips, cracks, or repairs. The rim of the pitcher does feel rough to the touch, but I believe this is a quality of the clay. There is widespread crazing, but it is faint and difficult to see (zoom in on photos 5 - 8 for example); but please inspect ALL photos, they are part of the description. The inside may be a little dusty, but I will leave any detailed cleaning to the new owner.
