Chinese popular Dragon Porcelain Teapot, Chinese Dragon Teapot, Jin Xiang Yu, Tin Inlay Gold Dragon, Gold Inlay, White Porcelain Dragon Teapot w/Lid

This is such an unique and unusual Chinese white porcelain lidded teapot with a gold plated tin inlay that hugs the teapot perfectly! It's a wonderful 20th century example of the Chinese traditional handicraft known as Jin Xiang Yu (Tin Inlay). Zibo porcelain was most likely used with gold plated tin inlay that sits on top of the teapot and the lid. Simply beautiful is the way this glittery gold overlay fits so closely to the surface. The level of detailing and expertise needed to recreate the original process is comperable to the original way of manufacturing.

The decoration features the traditional dragon/phoenix design and fabulous decorative scrolls and patterning. It is not an antique example, but a 20th century reproduction of the traditional handicraft technique. Such a beautiful combination of milky white porcelain with bright gold overlay that sits on top of the teapot! This white lidded teapot is in perfect condition, with no chips or cracks, and can be securely packed and ready to ship in 1-2 days.

(Quick note about the pictures: There are some pictures that look like there is pink or red in the gold. I assure you there is the pure white porcelain and the gold plated overlay only.)

Some items will be wrapped with bubble wrap and shipped in a small box, in a box - it just depends on how to best pack it up safely.

No effort is spared to ensure your fabulous item arrives in one piece. I always use small or large bubble wrap and may even fashion a cardboard protector around the items. Everything is packed with either air bubble packets and/or heavy packing paper, to ensure that the items you order do not actually touch the sides of the box.
