Exquisitely made small French antique marquetry photo frame with a classical floral and vine design. The black and white photograph popular of the charming young woman is a real photo. The varnished wood marquetry is all intact and beautifully smooth. The back of the wood frame is beveled which adds to its elegance when viewed from the side.
Originally the frame would have likely had a domed glass cover and a cloth or paper dust cover on the back. Today the frame has a flat glass cover as shown along with new black paper and nails which are new. There is a small black mirror hook on the back so it's ready to hang. Note because of the hook placement, the front hangs a bit forward - it does not hang flat against the wall.

Condition: Very Good vintage condition. The overall tone of the wood is a bit uneven - some areas lighter/darker than others with lighter strip on far right side. As noted above, the glass, black paper at back and hanger are not original to the piece. There's hairline split that is stable at the top of the frame. Teeny flea bite at top right corner. The backside has older nail holes. Priced accordingly.
