Product code: White Tara Mudra Buddhist Icon 8" x popular 6" (20 x 15 cm) Nepalese paper

This bright & vivid piece is dedicated to White Tara (Tib. Drolma) the most beloved & well known goddess of Tibet. She is the "Mother of all Buddhas" who develops compassion & protects from all fears.

I have carefully painted her hand in the outstretched popular open palmed mudra (hand gesture) bestowing generosity, charity, & the granting of wishes. A Buddha eye opens at the center of her palm.

Tara born from the tears of Avalokiteshvara, vowed to remain in female form until she liberates all beings from suffering. She appears in many colors, but typically white & green are her most popular forms, as White Tara in this piece she specifically brings long life, healing & health. Gold antiquing makes this painting look aged & icon like.

Perfect for an altar, a yoga studio or even an office to bring healing protection into ones life.

This original painting features:
• Handmade red Nepalese fiber paper printed with gold dragons
• Mudra of White Tara painted in Tibetan Thangka style
• 6"x8", image area measures 6" x 4"
• Mounted on a white cotton fabric backing for protection

Signed on the back in red ink with my Chinese Seal, Seigan ( my Buddhist monk name)
