I imagine it is a familiar back lane the artist knows well perhaps walking a dog or the likes but just about everyone of us must be familiar with a countryside walk such as this and the fact it has been painted after a snowfall just adds to the interest and transports me to all the similar, familiar type of places I have walked in the past.
