Wisdom House

My Wisdom Houses are tableaus into worlds of inquiry and of self-discovery. One surprise is that they do not open, nor are they designed as traditional containers. I call them Wisdom Houses because they are beautiful to look at while functioning as vehicles for unlocking the imagination. The familiar house-shape motif references ‘home' as both a physical dwelling place (where one lives) and as the seat of the soul (consciousness, feeling, being, imagination or creativity) where one's spirit or essence resides. In this sense, the houses are totems or talismans representing our physical nature as spiritual beings. They serve as both fetishes embodying our beliefs and as vessels or metaphysical shelters. Via the imagination, one enters the Wisdom House to find one's inner wisdom.

All of my Wisdom Houses are one-of-a-kind, collectible artistic creations designed with the utmost care. And while some Houses may appear similar, no two are exactly alike. Artistic license is taken to insure lasting value, which means that each Wisdom House is created with an eye towards perfection and the highest artistic standards. And since you choose your specific Wisdom House from among the images in my shop, you will receive the exact Wisdom House of your choice. I use surprisingly strong yet lightweight construction methods and materials to create my Wisdom Houses. The main substrate is 18-ply chipboard, a cellulose product used for a variety of manufacturing purposes that is both lightweight yet strong. Therefore, the Wisdom Houses are extremely sturdy and unlikely to tip or topple over – even when bumped or knocked into. Each Wisdom House is carefully inspected and comes with a list of materials and a certificate of authenticity signed by me, the popular artist and designer.

You will not find anything like the Wisdom House on the market. Believe me, I've looked! As an artist, I wanted to market my art (product) to a wider and more eclectic audience. Let's face it, we all love art when it suits our particular tastes and needs – and sometimes what we truly love is hard to come by. And, in is this day and age when we have just about everything under the Sun, we sometimes feel like something is missing. That is why I created the Wisdom House. I want those who own one of my Wisdom Houses to possess something beautiful, personally meaningful as well as useful. My Wisdom Houses can be displayed in any interior home or office, on any standard mantle or niche and, because they are small and can fit into any standard travel bag, they can travel with you wherever you go. They also make lovely and interesting one-of-a-kind gifts for any occasion.
