CARE AND MAINTENANCE OF NATURAL LEATHER PRODUCTS

Leather - durable material from which a bag can be sewed. Such leather bag /handbag can serve you many years. Proper treatment can only extend durability of your favorite accessories. Therefore popular, we provide some useful and simple advices which would help you to properly care about your beloved leather bag / handbag or any other leather product.
Leather care products. Firstly, leather has to be impregnated with specially designed agents. Secondly, special ointments / lotions (Leather Gel or Leather Milk) designed to clean and revive the leather should be used. These measures also protect against scratches. Regardless of what you choose (oil or lotion) the effect is similar - on the surface of leather a special protective film is being created, thus protecting the leather or suede against moisture, fading, abrasion and caking.
How to use leather care products. For proper impregnation of leather product it is advisable to spray the product three times, after each leaving some time for the leather to dry. Spraying has to be done evenly, from the distance of 15-20 cm on a dry and clean surface.
Use of special ointments / lotions is simple: moisturize a cotton cloth with an agent and then rub it in to the leather. Bear in mind that these measures should be applied only on the perfectly clean leather – they should be applied immediately after purchasing a bag / handbag, if it has not been used. In case leather product has been used already – clean it from any dirt or dust firstly and only then apply the protective measure. Just like for leather boots, protective measures should be applied regularly for leather bag / handbag or any other leather product.
It is advisable not to keep leather products under strong sunlight or in high humidity for a long time. When not in use, bag / handbag should be filled with paper and stored in a special bag.
