Product code: Vintage L.E. Smith Glass Quintec Pink Iridescent Luster popular Basket with Handle
This basket is gorgeous! There is an "S" at teh bottom of the vase. No chips, cracks, or dings. 9" Wide x 7.25" Deep x 8" Tall 2lbs 6oz popular This is a beautiful glass basket with a very intricate pattern called Quintec from Smith Glass Company. Quintec was originally made by McKee as a less expensive version of the fine cut glass of the period. These molds were bought and sold through the years, eventually landing with Smith Glass. In 1971, when L. E. Smith entered the Carnival Glass market, they used the Quintec molds. This pattern is well loved and highly collectible, this specific basket is a rare find, it is not only marked on the bottom with the Smith "S" (not all Smith pieces are marked), but it also retains its original label that reads: "Smith Hand Crafted". We have seen these filled with potpourri, candles, soaps in the bathroom, perfect in a girl's room! But of course it looks perfect on its own. Great piece of decor for Valentine's Day or Easter!.
