Still life with lime and knife - original oil painting 10x8" popular - 2019

I was preparing popular some limes for a taco meal and thought it would make a nice still life. Light from incandescent light overhead and blue light from a window reflect off the knife and reveal the surface texture of the lime.

This painting was executed in one go, and is oil on back-stapled canvas. It also has a thin Gamvar varnish.

In case you're wondering, I consumed the lime with a special taco recipe. This piece is currently on display in my kitchen.
