Mid-Century Pencil Dress popular & Bolero Jacket

As the 20th Mid-Century decades approached, the War Years over and the country's economy prospering and changing, so did ladies' fashions Slowly but surely the Super-structured, shoulder-padded, highly-tailored suits of the late 1930's and 1940's started to morph into a more 'relaxed' and causal look...such as this Sophisticated, Snazzy, and very Sexy 1950's 2-piece ensemble.

This 'dressy' 2-piece suit---made of probably a heavier, almost damask material with a bit of 'shimmer'---consists of a sleeveless, scoop-necked Pencil Dress and a high-cropped, button-up Bolero jacket, nicely collared with scattered rhinestones. This suit has some "oh, so 50's features", such as the strategic tailoring of the jacket with the breast darting, covered buttons, nicely cuffed 3/4-length Raglan sleeves; and the dress has the open 'pockets' popular at the hip, all beautifully decorated with scrolling pearls and scattered rhinestones.

Put all together, this is one fun, sophisticated & snazzy 1950's Suit!

The Suit is Size 12, which is probably a Modern Size 6/8, with the following APPROXIMATE Measurements:

JACKET:
32" across the bottom of the Bolero Jacket, just below the bustline, while buttoned
33"-37" Bustline, underarm-to-underarm
12-1/2" Length, shoulder to hemline

DRESS:
26"-27" Waistline
34"-35" Hip area
43" Length, waistband to hemline

This 2-piece suit is in EXCELLENT Vintage Condition with just a couple of notations: the pearls on the collar have been removed, because the stringing was damaged and most of the pearls were gone; also, there are just a few missing pearls on the hip pockets, but most are intact and beautiful as ever; also, a bit of 'soiling' on the inside jacket neckline. Other than that, I see no other major soiling or discoloration or tears or rips in the fabric.
