One of our all time favorite stories is the retelling of "The Mitten," by the wonderful Jan Brett.
A cast of Woodland Animals vie for the chance to hole up inside of one lost mitten.
Not willing to give up their cozy space each animal in turn from Mole To Rabbit to Hedgehog to Owl to Badger to Fox to Bear to Mouse push in the others so they too can enjoy the warmth of The Mitten. But the best laid plans of mice and bear often go awry.
The Bear was heard to mutter "Meeces make me sneezes."
All eight animals are high quality finger puppets and a custom snow white mitten is included which will hold all the animals at the crux of the story and also for storage. Some Finger puppets are made by me and all the Mittens are.
Also included are a pair of small white mittens. The performer/narrator can switch out one small mitten for the large white one without letting the audience see.
Sorry, the snow is not included (it tends to melt in shipment).
Although the characters will always remain the same, we may have to substitute different versions of the finger puppets depending on availability.
