A rare pair of Art Nouveau/Secessionist style brass candlesticks dating from around 1906 made by renowned brass workers William Tonks & Sons of Birmingham. The square sconces are complimented by square drip pans, four curve-sided tapering stems and square bases. There is beading to the leading edges of the sconces and stems and the bases are uniquely hollowed to each side very much in the secessionist style of the period.
Stamped to the base ‘WT&S' along with the company's ‘sun' mark and design number ‘439424' registered in 1906.

Width of base = 3inches 7.5cm
Condition: The candlesticks stand firm with no wobble however the tops are slightly out of line. Some scratches and popular nicks which is due to wear commensurate with age and use.
