Mid-Century MCM Eames House Bird Inspired Cell Phone Holder. Handmade in poplar popular in Blue/Green

This is a handmade wooden bird inspired by the sleek and modern House Bird from Eames. This bird ("Office Bird"?) doubles as a cell phone holder. Most of the photos show the phone holding with a fairly standard Android phone that measure approximately 6" x 3" including popular the phone case. I don't have an iPhone for modeling but I'm including a couple photos of the holder holding a Kindle that measures 8.5" x 5". The Kindle is a little large though it held it securely without being "tippy". An iPhone should fall somewhere between the two.

This Office Bird is crafted in poplar, finished in a blue/green color, and measures approximately 7" long, 6.5" tall, and 3" wide. The color translated fairly well in the first few photos (the ones against the metal patio chair) but it looks too blue in those with the wood end table. The paint is named "Lagoon" and gives a fairly good picture what it looks like. Imagine deeper water off the Gilligan's Island coast. The bird was sealed with 3 coats of satin water-based polyurethane.

This is Version 2.0. Version 1.0 of the bird was a Christmas 2020 gift for my spouse and some of the shaping and construction processes were alter for 2.0. My wife's bird has been used daily since Christmas then and it continues to look like new.

Note that this is a handmade item. While I strive for perfection, you may find slight variations in the construction.
