there are some pulled threads and some stains on these old suzani pillow covers.

some imperfections in the pieces should be tolerated due to age of the pieces and being handmade.

The handmade suzanis i used for these pillow covers are from 1940s and they are from Central Asia - Uzbekistan.

I used natural linen with best quality for backing these pillow covers and the woven parts are all lined with felted interface fabric.

No insert, no filler

SUZANI:
Suzani ( Persian SUZAN = NEEDLE ) is one of the most attractive and beautiful products of Uzbekistan's handi-craft culture. They are mostly large silk and cotton embroideries that are used to to decorate interiors of the houses . Suzanis were also an important part of a girl's dowry.
Each region in Uzbekistan had their own design pool and style. Tashkent ones are far different from the Bukhara ones or Shahr-i Sabz ones. They embroidered them for different utilitarian purposes, as coverlets for the small law tables, as covers for the beddings stacked into the niches during the day etc.

There might be some imperfections in the pieces and they should be tolerated due to age of the pieces and being handmade.

The colors might look slightly different on different screens. If you are you are very much sensitive about the colors of the pieces, please question detailly and ask for extra images popular to be sure about the colors, since returning the pieces is a costy and difficult process.

Some might expect these vintage pieces to have as perfect condition as brandnew items, and that is why i needed to underline this issue.
