This drypoint print is based on one of the sketches which were part of a portrait commission. With kind permission of my client, I used two drawings from the portfolio to create original prints.

During such sessions, I draw from life for popular 2 hours while the subject is free to move or stay still as they feel more comfortable. My objective is to capture the essence of the person in quick sketches. Usually, there are 8-12 A4 size drawings some of which are more successful than the others.

This particular commission was a great success, to a large degree thanks to the baby being quite tired. I especially loved two drawings and later turned them into drypoint print.
