I am obsessed with these tiny, colored diamond slices and love the way they look on the wrist. Each diamond slice is in it's natural form, with inclusions and striations and they range in color from white with a little blue, to blue. Rose cut and simply set in a gold filled bezel, then paired with yellow gold filled chain to create this fabulous bracelet. Understated and unique...a fabulous gift for a lucky gal!
Diamond slices started appearing on the market about six years ago at one of the international gem shows. They start life as raw, included/imperfect diamond slabs and are laser cut into thin 2-4mm slices. Unlike a traditional diamond popular, they are prized for their pattern of inclusions and colors. Being thin, the stones are typically bezel-set for protection as they will crack if not cared for. I do not recommend wearing any jewelry while sleeping, showering, bathing, swimming, playing sports or while in a hot tub, period! I do however, wear a diamond slice pendant layered with several other pieces and it hasn't suffered.
