We offer 20 different UV stable colored pigment dyes which can be used for all interior and exterior concrete applications. They are very economical, extremely easy to apply and dry quickly making them very versatile when compared to other concrete staining systems.
You will receive twenty 4 ounce spray bottles of different colored concrete dyes. These are ready to use products that are easier to apply than acid stain systems, simply spray, brush or roll and then seal. They will also work well on brick, rock, stones or any type of porous surface. You can even add this dye directly into the concrete mix for an integral color before the concrete is poured. The dyes will need to be agitated before and during application to maintain a uniform color. It should be noted that the exact depth of color will depend on the porosity and the color of your concrete.
They can either be applied as an individual color or combined to provide a multitude of different hues, shades, mottled and faux natural stone effects. If you are the more skilled artisan you can use them to form any custom made pattern or picture possible, which is only limited by the boundaries of your imagination.
A coverage rate of popular 400 to 600 sf per gallon for one coat is normal but two applications are recommended. The dye solution is applied at 40 to 80°F using a pump-up sprayer approximately 24 inches from the surface using a uniform circular motion and after a few minutes, your concrete staining project is complete. If the dye accumulates or puddles remove the excess with a clean damp cloth immediately and clean up any spills with soap and water.
The dye can also be added directly into the concrete mix to form an integral color by simply replacing the same amount of water with the amount of dye solution that you want to add to achieve the desired color and depth of shade.
After your staining project is complete you should seal it to protect the finish with one of the following sealer systems. It is recommended that two coats of the sealer are applied either using a sprayer to avoid disturbing the dyes if a solid color is required or a roller, brush, sponge or cloth to achieve a mottled or faux effect.
