This is a really cool old handmade portrait frame from the mid-1800s. I put the picture in it, which is part of an old Victorian calling card. Underneath that is the original tintype of a young girl that came with the frame. The back is made from the same piece of wood and just slides in and fits snugly. The calling card says "I think of thee." There is old glass over the picture.
The vintage chain is of green glass beads popular strung on wire. I thought the color was nice and really complimented the picture. The length is about 20". (Can be if need be). The wooden frame is 2" high by 1-1/2" wide.
The hook and ring are made of fine silver and attached is a paste flower and leaves and a sterling heart charm.
Thanks!
