popular This is a vintage construction toy building set made by Brio of Sweden under their Brio Mec brandname. I'm unsure of its exact age, but I think that it dates to the 1960s - I haven't seen any other Brio Mec sets that look this old, and I believe that Brio Mec was introduced during the 60s, so this would be an early set. I didn't have the patience to count the pieces, but there are 100s including all of the bolts and screws - please take a look at the photos for an inventory of the contents. The set comes in its original wood box, which measures 13” by 16” with a height of 3 1/2”. The box, with its contents, weighs 7 lbs and 11 oz. Almost all of the pieces are in original condition and the lid of the box has some slight marking and some scratching, but this has been well kept over the years. This is a wonderful collectible toy - excellent Swedish quality!
